Hello, and welcome to my website!
I am Barry Chappell - an amateur photographer, artist, dreamer, nature lover, observer, blogger, and someone who’s always full of creative ideas.
I'm in my 30's, and currently living by the River Wey, in a busy town called Guildford, which is located in the South East of England.
Why should you read my blog?
I originally started writing blogs on the MySpace website, as a diary of memories and events I could look back on. The blogging started off as a bit of fun, and as a way for me to keep some of my friends updated on what I was doing.
Some of my friends enjoyed reading my blog on MySpace, and so did others, people I had not met before.
Blogging on MySpace was not the best website for me to use, so I looked at alternative websites which I could post them on.
One of my friends Ben Barden told me about some software that he had developed himself. This package is called Injader. His program is for adding blogs and other content to websites. I had previously only used my original single webpage just for showing links to my Flickr photography website, and to my social networking sites. Ben offered to put his software on my own website for me, in place of what I had there already. This software is very useful, as I don’t have the technical experience of making webpages. So, when Ben had set up and installed his software on my website, I designed and made the graphics, and then I transferred my old blogs on to here.
I aim to write regularly, and to include some interesting things that I do and photograph with my camera. Check out my galleries, and video sections that I have put on here too. I hope my website is enjoyable and has a wide appeal to anybody that finds it. Let me know what you think of it so far!
