The Second Sketchy Ferry Fairies Artist Group Night

Last week on Monday evening, Frog invited me round to his cottage along with Julia, Mark, Becca, Chris, Jen and the famous David Shayler.

It was another Sketchy Ferry Fairies Artist Group night at Frog's cottage. Taking turns of sketching each other.

Chris, Jen, and David Shayler were new to the sketching group, so it was fun sketching different people.

I have included the sketches we did together that night in this blog, although I can't remember who drew some of the pictures, so sorry about that.

It was hilarious drawing Chris, as he kept moving, talking, and laughing, whilst we were all sketching away. This made it difficult to draw him. Some of the others kept having a go at Chris to keep still, which made it even more funny.

David was the most interesting subject to draw that night, as he disappeared, and then returned back downstairs again to join us all, but re-appeared dressed as a woman. David wore a blonde platinum bob style wig, red lipstick, black top with fake boobs, short zebra print skirt, black tights, and strap on sandal like heels. He actually looked quite convincing as a woman, and sat on the sofa posing like one. David likes to sometimes dress as a woman, and calls himself Dolores. I think he said that he may of used this outfit as a disguise at one point. Cross-dressing is not something I understand. He was brave to sit there dressed like that. I could not have done it myself. David was fun to sketch, and a good sport for doing it.

Again, all of the sketches we did of each other were quite amusing. We didn't have time to all be models that evening though.

David was really good at drawing, and it was fun seeing other people’s styles as well.

Chris even had a go at drawing Julia on a postage stamp sized bit of paper.

There is another sketch night happening this Wednesday. I look forward to going along to that night as well.

I hope that I can find someone to come along with me to be drawn at a future session. I know of a few models, and a couple of new people. A female nude would be fun to do, I might be able to find one who is willing to pose for us...
