Winter Wonderland In Hyde Park

< My Winter Walk And Thoughts Down The Downs Link | Blog | BBC Television Centre Tour >

Last month on a cold winters December afternoon; I went to London with my model friend Mandy. We went to London to meet up with my some of my other friends Jeannie, Jude and Anya, for a fun day out together.

It was a Christmas themed outing.

I brought along my new camera with me.

We were all going to see the Winter Wonderland event together, which was held within Hyde Park

The event was in-between Hyde Park Corner Underground Station, and the Serpentine Lake inside the park.

We caught a train to London from Southfield's train line near Wimbledon. I took a few photos of Mandy and me on the train. She is a very beautiful woman.

We arrived at Waterloo to meet up with my friend Jude.

I received a text on my mobile from Jude to say that she caught the wrong train to London, and she was giving up because she was lost, so we never sadly saw her that day.

Whilst Mandy and I were in Waterloo, she wanted to take a look at the dresses which were on sale in Monsoon.

Inside the shop I helped Mandy find some nice dresses to try on. If I was rich, then I would buy her a nice dress to wear for when we go out together.

There was a blind lady inside the only changing room there, so we waited for her to finish and come out.

Mandy asked me to join her in the changing room with her, which was very exciting for me, as she has a great figure. I turned round in the other direction when she put her dresses on, and turned round again when she had changed into her dresses. Mandy looked stunning in all of the dresses she tried on, but she could not sadly afford to buy any of them.

I texted Anya, and she was on her way to Hyde Park Corner Underground Station. I called her and told her we were on her way there as well.

As we left Waterloo to get on the Underground, Mandy’s shoes kept coming undone, so I bent down to tie up her shoe laces up for her.

Our Underground train arrived. Mandy helped an elderly old lady step over the gap to get onto the train.

Whilst we were sat on the train, we saw a girl opposite us who was crying and had been badly beaten up. We tried to comfort her, and she got off the train at the next stop with us. I offered to buy her a warm drink, but she wanted to get back on the train again. It was very upsetting to see the girl in such a bad way like that, it upset both of us, as we wanted to help her.

I think a lot of Mandy, and I would do anything for her, as she is very kind and caring towards other people, which is very rare to see in our modern world. I have never known anyone as kind and caring as she is. My friend Frog jokingly calls her Saint Mother Teresa, and Mandy is a true Saint in my view.

We got off the Underground train at Hyde Park Corner. I took Mandy’s picture coming up the escalator stairs, she again looked very beautiful and happy.

My friend Jeannie had originally organised the event, and we were going to meet her and her friends in Hyde Park. However, Jeannie and her friends had to sadly pull out, due to Jeannie catching a bad virus.

We saw Anya as we walked out of Hyde Park Corner tube station. It was great to see Anya again, we hugged each other. Anya was wearing a black beret, and looked very nice in her outfit. I introduced Mandy to Anya, as they had not met before, and they got on very well together.

We then entered the Winter Wonderland.

The event looked great, there was a German market selling all kinds of nice food and hot mulled wine. There was also an ice skating rink, a train ride, fun fair, and all sorts of interesting things. I took lots of pictures of the park with my new camera.

I bought us all some mulled wine, hot dogs, and some Sauerkraut to share. The mulled wine was very nice, and it made Mandy a bit tipsy, which was great fun.

After we had our food and drink, we all went on a train ride together. Although the train track was short, it was a good laugh.

Mandy told Anya that she would make a good model doing similar work that she does herself. Anya would make a great model, as she has long blond platinum hair with a pretty face. I think Anya got a bit embarrassed by this statement though!

We had a look at the ice skating rink, but we did not go on it, as the girls did not want to ice skate.

There was a café near the ice skating rink, which we sat by, and we bought some nice cake and warm drinks to enjoy.

We had an interesting conversation whilst we were sat by the café.

There was a cold chilly wind blowing across Hyde Park, so we left there and headed back towards the Underground station.

Anya then left us to head back to her home.

It was starting to get dark.

Mandy and myself wanted to stay out longer, so we got on the Underground train to head back to Waterloo for a walk around South Bank.

We both had a great time walking along by the Thames. I took a picture of Mandy with the Thames behind her.

We then went on the London Eye together. It was great fun, and we had a lovely view of London all lit up during nighttime.

From the London Eye we saw twelve numbers projected on a building, which must have been in connection with 'The Twelve Days of Christmas'.

It was very pleasant to be on the London Eye together, and to see all of the famous London landmarks.

Lots of people busy working in their little box like offices over Christmas. I pity them!

The Twelve Days of Christmas

After we had finished our ride on the London Eye, we went to find someplace to eat and drink.

We had a Japanese meal in Wagamama, we shared our tasty food and drink, and we had a really nice time there.

We walked back to Waterloo, and then headed back home.

It was a fantastic day, I look forward to many more great days out with Mandy and Anya again soon!
