Kegs Of Beer Music Video< My Birthday With The BBC | Blog | Somewhere Over The Rainbow > I spent today with my friend Frog. It was a nice sunny afternoon, so we had some drinks at the King’s Head pub, and sat in the garden there. We then went round his cottage to eat some pizza.
Frog wanted to do some video editing on a music video, which he had recently filmed in his cellar. He asked me if I wanted to watch him video editing, and if I wanted to help out. I was pleased that he asked me, as I was interested to see how video editing was done. The video was of Nithya, along with Adam, and Lea performing a song she had written called ‘Kegs of Beer’. Nithya was singing and playing the keyboard, Adam was doing percussion, and Lea was playing the guitar. It’s a catchy little song with good music, and Nithya has a great voice. I helped Frog by giving suggestions of things to add to the video. As the song was about beer, I suggested we use clips from a scene in a pub. Frog found some video footage which he'd filmed many years ago in a pub in Dorking, and we choose clips of people drinking, and dancing, to insert into the music video. We then added clips of the sea, and of some seagulls, from when we recently visited Hayling Island. Frog then inserted some fish swimming around into the music video, which he had filmed at a pond. At one point it looks like fish are coming out of Nithya's mouth, its quite trippy. There was a funny bit we put on the end of the video, which was of a drunken woman chatting Frog up in the pub. It was a very funny ending, but we thought in the end it was a bit disrespectful to Nithya’s song to include some drunken woman at the end of it. So we changed the ending and removed the drunk from it. It was fun watching Frog mix the video clips together and to have some input into it. My internet username of ‘Baroomba’ is included in the credits at the end of the video. Related ContentComments on Kegs Of Beer Music Video |
