Rob's Stag Weekend

< Entering The Guildford Calendar Painting Competition | Blog | The Sketchy Ferry Fairies Artist Group >

Last weekend I went to Rob’s Stag Do, which included paint ball, staying in a hotel, and going out in Windsor.

Rob is marrying Helen on Friday 8th August, and I’ll be going to the wedding after party that evening too.

On Saturday morning, I met Rob outside Guildford train station, he was sitting in his car and I did not see him there at first. As I went inside the train station, he gave me a call on my mobile.

Chris, someone I used to work with, my friend Tom, and then Rob’s brother Frank got in the car with us.

Rob drove off towards where the paint ball venue was located near Slough.

The place where we did paint ball is called the ‘Big Red One’ and was in the middle of some countryside. Luckily, Rob had his Tom Tom GPS in his car, so we found it ok.

Then we parked at the gate waiting for them to open.

We saw the other people sitting in their cars, waiting to go in, who were also doing paint ball that day. They were mostly young Indian teenagers, or even younger, with a few adults with them.

As the organizer opened the gate, we saw that there was a car boot sale going on in a nearby field.

Rob drove towards the car park and we waited there for Rob’s friend Alan and Rob’s dad to arrive, who was also playing paintball with us that day. Rob’s dad is also named Frank, the same as Rob’s brother, but is referred to as Frank Senior.

Alan turned up in his car. He is Helen’s brother.

Frank Senior was a bit late arriving, as he got a bit lost trying to find the paint ball venue.

We then entered ‘The Big Red One’ and got changed into the outfits they provided us with.

My outfit and everyone else’s consisted of an army camouflage boiler suit, jacket with hood, black plastic face mask, an automatic paint ball gun with a gas canister, green paint ball pellets, and belt to put extra ammo into.

The organisers were going to split us into mixed groups, but as it was Rob’s stag do, we all wanted to be in the same team. So, we all got to be in the same yellow team together, whilst the Indian kids, and the few adults with them, were in the red team.

One of the organisers gave a warning to us all not to remove the masks in the play area, as two people in the past have lost eyes there. This created a bit of a worried silence amongst the crowd of players.

Rob, Frank Jr, and Tom had the advantage over myself, Chris, Alan and Frank Sr, as they had all played paint ball before.

The first games we played was capture the flag, which involved getting the yellow flag back to our base, and the red team had to get their red flag back to their base, but you have to try and stop each other by firing at the enemy team. If you get hit, then you are out of the game for a few minutes.

It was very hot that day, so our masks kept steaming up, which restricted vision. It was difficult, as we could not take our masks off in the play area to clean them, as we would loose an eye, and it was not allowed.

The paint ball bullets stung when they hit, and left bruises.

I played about four different games, but I got too hot, and hit quite a few times, which bloody hurt.

I was surprised that the paint ball bullets hurt so much when they hit. I have bruises all over my body (including my buttocks!). My thumb nail got split when it was shot at too. See the below pictures.

One game was quite amusing, and that was the Alamo one. It was like shooting fish in a barrel, as the other team had to stay and defend a wooden hut. We bought some smoke bombs so they could not see us, and we went round the back and shot at them from close range. They were in agony, as some of them were quite young, they started crying, a lot of them left to go home after that!

I think they should make the game 18+ because if an adult bruises so badly from it, then a kid must get moore hurt than that.

I stopped after the following game from being too injured and too hot. I also got lost in the woods for a while in the last game, as I could not see due to the steamed up visor.

We had a break for lunch, which was pasta.

After lunch, I waited for the others to finish playing.

Whilst I was waiting for them, I had a look round the nearby car boot sale, and bought an ice cream from there.

Frank Sr felt he was getting too old, so he left to go home.

We won every game, I think mainly because Rob and his brother have played paint ball a lot before.

They finished playing paint ball at around 3.30pm, and were all covered in bruises, paint, sweat, and dirt.

I think paint ball is quite mad. I don’t think I will do it again. I did enjoy it though.

We went back to Rob’s car in the car park.

Chris set the timer on the camera on his mobile, and placed it on the roof of Rob’s car, so we could get a group picture together. It came out a bit blurry. Unfortunately, no one remembered to bring a camera with them that weekend.

We got in Rob’s car to head towards the hotel in Windsor to get cleaned up. I needed to take a bath to wash the dirt, paint, sweat, and blood off me.

Alan got into his own car and drove off towards the hotel.

Chris could not join us for the evening, so Rob dropped him off at a train station.

We were left with myself, Rob, Tom, Frank Jr and Alan for the rest of Rob’s stag weekend.

At the hotel we got cleaned up, changed into our smart evening outfits, had a few drinks at the hotel, and then we caught a taxi to Windsor from there.

Windsor is a very nice town, with a castle, river, and lots of restaurants, bars and shops. The town has many sophisticated women walking round, its much better than Guildford.

We were hoping to have a meal in Chicago's, but it was fully booked, so we ate in a Wetherspoons. I had scampi and chips, and a mint chocolate ice cream bomb. We also bought quite a few pitchers full of Red Bull and vodka, had some shots, and other drinks too.

After we left Wetherspoons, we went to lots of local trendy bars like Ha Ha, Mantra, and many others. As part of Rob’s stag weekend we went to the Pink Gentlemens Club.

The Pink Gentlemens club was difficult to find, so we had to ask quite a few people where it was whilst walking round Windsor. Tom made me laugh when he asked some local girls where it was, as they called us ‘dirty bastards’.

We found it in the end, and we went inside.

The Pink Gentlemens club had pole dancers and strippers.

They were very attractive women, and they all looked like top glamour models, or porn stars.

It was a bit embarrassing having naked women lap dance so close to me between my legs, and rubbing themselves on me etc, but it’s something Rob wanted to do on his stag do.

It was quite funny to do and to see the other guys faces. Tom was the funniest, as they must have known he liked blondes, as they kept coming over to him, and he kept going off for private dances with these women. He must have spent a fortune.

I enjoyed it, I had two women private lap dance for me naked in double length sessions. I was a little drunk by then, I gave one of the lap dancers my mobile number on a business card, she told me that she had better hide it and put my card inside her knickers. They were very hot and sexy women indeed.

It is quite expensive, and a little sad, but I guess women do a similar thing on their hen nights with male strippers. I have done a similar thing before.

We left the club around closing time to head back to the hotel for the night.

On Sunday morning, Rob gave us all a lift back home.

I got back home around mid-day.

I got a text inviting me to an afternoon BBQ that day from another friend, but I could not make it, as I was too worn out!

It was a great stag do, and I really enjoyed it!
